Training

The traditional club training night is Thursday at Paible School.

6pm - 7pm is for the primary 1 to primary 4 children.  7pm - 8pm is primary 4 to primary 7.  7pm to 8.30 / 9pm is for secondary upwards.  Everyone in the club meets up on this night and splits up into their seperate event groups.

North Uist AAC runners are also very lucky as there is numerous very good running routes around Paible School with little road traffic to contend with.

For Cross Country runners during the winter months saturday morning training at Langass and Hosta takes place and helps prepare them for the courses they are set to encounter on the mainland.

For throwers Wednesday nights is an extra night at Paible School where they conditon and work on technique.

There is also regular running training on Mondays and Tuesdays and occasional other days for the older athletes at the club.  This is personal training as no club coaches or adults attend these sessions.

All of this makes up the clubs training rota and helps develop the athletes and lets them reach their potential as well as enjoying themselves.
